CHAPPY STRONG – A Tribute to Our Little Fighter 🦭💙
Some stories stay with us forever.
A tiny seal pup, lost and struggling, found his way onto Chapel Street in New Haven—far from the ocean where he belonged. Chappy was named after New Haven Police found Chappy on Chapel Street and held a naming contest. As a result people fell in love with the name Chappy, and in just a short time, he captured hearts everywhere. Rescuers worked from Mystic Aquarium tirelessly to save him, and we all rooted for his recovery. But despite all the love and care, Chappy's little body couldn’t fight any longer.
His journey may have been short, but his impact is lasting.
To honor Chappy’s brave spirit, I’ve created these "Chappy Strong" shirts. A portion of the proceeds will go to Mystic Aquarium, whose incredible team gave Chappy a chance and continues to rescue and rehabilitate other sea life in need. I have spoken to Mystic Aquarium and they are so grateful for all the love and support. Needless to say, yesterday was a VERY HARD day for them.
